Buffalo River State Park, Minnesota

$300.00

Plein aire study in watercolor on paper. Early spring outing exploring the banks of the Buffalo River. At the time, I was exploring riverscapes in cold seasons and making compositions that included placing trees between me and the water. I’ve always liked the quiet and mystery of being in the woods, but for a season my work seemed to suggest it was a place I needed to be a great deal.

This is an early work in which I was exploring watercolor; it was formerly part of a private collection, and has recently become available following the liquidation of the estate. It is offered with the option of the original frame (measures ___” x ___”), as depicted.
